The Context Map

For many of us, staying valuable means continuing to do work that others value and are willing to pay for. GenAI is changing part of that context. It can save time, reduce effort and open new possibilities. But it can also change expectations, speed up work, reshape what expertise looks like, and alter how we learn and contribute.

We may respond by learning another skill, working harder, using AI more, applying for more opportunities, trying to become more productive, or telling ourselves that we need to be more resilient. Any of those responses may be useful. But when the stakes are high, it can be difficult to see the whole situation.

This Lab starts from a different premise: before deciding what to do differently, it may help to make sense of the situation we are in, including the context around us.
